The Last Straw: Kids vs Plastic by Susan Hood is a collection of poems that inform readers of plastic pollution and what it is doing to our world. The author not only shares the dangers our oceans are facing but she also includes real life young heroes who are advocating for the oceans and making a difference.
There is a lot of information to digest in this book, so I read a poem or two a day. It gave us more time to really dig in and understand each line.
