An Inspiring and Sweet Adventure!

This was such an inspiring, heart-warming, and touching chapter book that portrayed a powerful message of love in so many forms! From remembering the love of a mother, to the love of the ocean, to the love of animals within or ocean at heart…this is full of adventure and LOVE! It so delicately and effortlessly delivers a magical, sweet, and engaging story of a desperate attempt to get a dolphin back home while also freeing another to their home of all homes-the superpod! I was captivated by all the characters and drawn to each of them in their own unique way. The character, Rusty, is based off the true-life Russ Rector who strongly advocated for marine mammals. His goals were to see them all free living in their wild habitat. The author shared her desire to honor his courageous spirit in creating this trilogy series! (Thrilled there are more books!) Yasmin Mohamad also shares how she wanted to honor her sister and share the presence of her love that is alive in the oceans everyday. This story did a brilliant job of capturing the essence of physical love lost but still being with us in heart, while also sharing the importance of respecting and celebrating ocean life. The illustrations throughout are vibrant, eye-catching, and simply stunning. Such a truly amazing and inspiring book that will capture your heart!
